Milestone AP & Best Buy Shenzhen office Joint Charity Campaign
A group of 56 people from both Milestone Shenzhen office and Best Buy (Asia Pacific) Limited Shenzhen office gathered together at the beautiful Bi Jia Mountain Park in Futian, Shenzhen on November 13th 2009, participating in the “mountain-climbing for disabled children” charity campaign in order to help disabled children at the Min Ai Welfare Center. This activity received fully support from both the top management and the staff of the two companies.
Confronted by overwhelming love and care, Ms Wang, the director of Min Ai welfare Center was deeply moved and said “we deeply appreciate the gesture of Best Buy and Milestone and are grateful to all your support. As the tenet of our Center goes: Serve the physically and mentally Challenged Children, help the families with Challenged Children, Share Social Responsibilities with the government. With help from corporate enterprises like you, I have every confidence that the disabled children would be well taken care of and their life would be just as wonderful as normal kids”.
Shenzhen Min Ai Disabled Children Welfare Center
Shenzhen Min Ai Disabled Children’s Welfare Center is a civilian-run and government-supervised civil welfare organization. The funding of the Center comes mainly from donations and a small amount of subsidy from the government. The center is registered as a disabled children education and training organization by the Shenzhen Disabled People Association
The Center helps those children who are physically and mentally challenged and cannot attend normal school. It aims to build self confidence, improve intelligence and allow the children to be more adaptive to the society. The centre also helps families of the physically and mentally challenged children to resolve difficulties in their life so that they can be more devoted into their work and study.
